Best Greenpoint Vintage Shops & Boutiques
1. FENG SWAY: Trendy vintage, accessories & plants

Whoooooa. That was my reaction when I first entered FENG SWAY and saw the disco plant pots and stunning array of plants!
Enter and you’ll find a trendy and colorful mix of accessories and vintage. There’s also home goods and other knick knacks, like pretty candles.
You’ll feel the cool, hip essence of Greenpoint at this store.
The selection was eclectic and fun, but I have to say the prices were steep. I found a lip-shaped candle for $30, glass cups for $30 each, decorative cushions for $60, and a vintage denim jacket for $170.

I imagine the name FENG SWAY comes from a play of words for “feng shui,” which are traditional Chinese know-how on arranging spaces and objects for harmony and good luck.
2. Dobbin St Vintage Co-op: Best antique & secondhand furniture shop

Dobbin St has a practical and well-curated selection of secondhand furniture and antiques, including beautiful sofas and cabinets.
The furniture was in good shape and reasonably priced for NYC. I found $150 jute chairs with leather seats, a $650 vintage three-seater sofa, and a wooden cabinet for $475.
There were also retro and vintage home decorations. The decorative trays were $20 and glass cups were $8 each.

There was also a small selection of vintage clothing.
3. Marmalade: Best clothing boutique in Greenpoint

Marmalade is a boutique with a stylish selection of practical and statement pieces from a range of brands.
They had beautiful blouses and tops that could be worn both at brunch and at work, like the Stine Goya $270 blouse. Prices were mid to high for NYC. I found a Dolce Cabo faux leather dress for $150.

4. Seven Wonders: Best for statement vintage pieces

Seven Wonders has a well-curated selection of vintage clothing that’s great for finding statement pieces, like unique long jackets and dresses.
The prices are on the higher side, but the pieces are interesting and stylish. I found a shearing jacket for $400, blue mechanic jumpsuit fo $200, a 70s P.B.D. long leather jacket for $225, and a $400 L.L. Bean leather jacket.

5. Souvenir: Best cutesy & trendy Greenpoint gift shop

I spend so much time at Souvenir whenever I visit! There’s such a good selection of knick-knacks, that it feels like a toy store for adults!
Souvenir has bath soaps and candles, and pretty kitchenware as well. There’s cute and trendy earrings, bags and accessories. There’s a pretty wide selection of gifts, a little something for everyone!
There’s also a mini skateboarding ramp, perhaps a nod to its past.

6. B. E. Yarn: Wondrous knitting and sewing shop
This tiny knitting and sewing supplies shop has an astounding variety of yarns and practical items for knitting and clothing repair projects.
There’s tons of colors and types of yarn, from $7.50 bundles of yarn to $14 merino fine wool yarn, and a lot of different knitting needles.
There’s a wide selection of sewing threads and ribbons, and a whole set of knick knacks, including buttons, bra extenders and different clothing adjustment products.

7. Tula House: Magical plant shop

Tula House is a magical plant shop with tons of lush plants and succulents.
It’s a pretty big plant shop. I love that they classified their leafy plants by the amount of sunlight they need (who’s over killing their poor plants?). My favorite was the room full of succulents.

The prices were somewhere around the middle for NYC. I spotted string of pearls for $38, and leafy house plants cost around $20-30.
Even on a gloomy day, Tula House feels so lovely and literally full of life. The warm red walls hues blended in with the terra cotta pots, which made the green color of the plants pop out even more!
For serious home gardeners, come to Tula House to pick up potting mix, fertilizer, gardening tools, and a range of practical to beautiful plant pots!
There’s also a small gift section with soy candles and home decor.
8. Homecoming: Stunning flowers & good coffee

Homecoming has a beautiful selection of aesthetically pleasing flowers and potted plants.
They are also a cafe! While there’s limited seating indoors, there’s outdoor seating accessible from the back of the cafe.

Homecoming also has a cozy and attractive selection of plant pots and home goods.

9. Flower Cat: Quaint storybook-like cafe & flower shop

Entering Flower Cat feels like entering a Studio Ghibli movie. This coffee shop is tastefully and mysteriously decorated with quaint antique pieces, which were handpicked by the ex-architect owner.
If you’re a cat lover, you’ll appreciate the cat pieces quietly decorating the cafe. The owner has two cats herself, which inspired the theme of this cafe.

Don’t miss the hilarious Last Supper piece with serious-looking kitties (instead of Jesus and his bunch) in the bathroom!
Although Flower Cat isn’t a large space, there’s several tables that are great for conversations and for working from home.

There’s also a flower shop at the back of the cafe.

Flower Cat was a vibey, quiet cafe. I liked that ambient light came through from the two skylights.

10. Peter Pan Donut Shop: Best old-fashioned donuts

Peter Pan is a good old-fashioned donut shop with fresh baked goods. The lines are long, but goes fast and is definitely worth it!
The donuts are baked fresh in-house.
The honey dip donut is my favorite. It’s a classic glazed donut, but its freshness and simple deliciousness make it stand out, even when it’s eaten alongside heavier and sweeter flavors.

The sour cream cake donut was so fresh and had a fragrant sourdough aroma.
The Bavarian cream was somehow so light, with a thicker dough around the perimeter of the donut, but with a thin layer of dough surrounding the golden vanilla cream in the center, which made the donut ooze like crazy in your mouth.
11. 50 Norman: Elegant Japanese concepts
50 Norman is a Japanese concept store with multiple home goods, food and clothing brands inside. You’ll find Japanese artisanal pottery, home goods, cooking knives and more.
The prices are on the higher side, but the craftsmanship and quality of the products was high. I spotted $70 for a cutting board, $60 for a plate, and $500 for a decorative lamp.
The restaurant inside the space, HOUSE Brooklyn, has an exquisite tasting menu with Japanese and French fusion cuisine.
The space that 50 Norman occupies is a beautiful sight in itself.
There’s large windows at the front of the space which bring in tons of natural light. It looks like it was formerly a former warehouse or factory space, like many other large spaces in Brooklyn.
The space’s wooden furniture was created with reclaimed wood from Japan, in Japan.
